Dreamcast

Dreamcast is the last video game console made by Sega, successor to the Sega Saturn. The Dreamcast is part of the sixth generation of video game consoles and was released in late 1998, ahead the PlayStation 2, the Nintendo GameCube and the Xbox.

Dreamcast was released before Playstation 2 but it lost the race against it and Gamecube. In contrary to its premature death, Dreamcast is still sought, many homebrew apps are still being developed, including older generation emulators, SD-card readers, etc.

To achieve full speed emulation when playing dreamcast, it is recommended to use dual-core processor and good graphic card. Games arestored in GD-Rom, a proptiery format manufactured by Yamaha. Many of Dreamcast rom images were downsampled in order to fit CD-Rom size.
