Sony Playstation was originally project by Nintendo, which was famously called “SNES-CD”. But Nintendo broke the contract with Sony one-sidedly and instead, chose Phillips. Sony, learnt it lesson from Nintendo, developing its own console which was winner of its era. The brand was kept by Sony. As the result, Playstation was born, and Sony was new winner on block. It wast the first 3D consoles and known for many best selling titles such as Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo, etc.

Emulation of PSX has advanced that current processor is able to achieve high speed, even with Pentium III Processors and 256 MB ram. ePSXE is currently the most recommended emulator to run PSX.
